Letter from the Medical Director
Dear patients and colleagues:
Having a moldable and fluid view of medicine is a core tenet at the heart of plastic surgery. The notion that not every patient, not every wound can be treated the same separates out Centers of Excellence from the rest. The days of the cookie cutter approach to wound care is old thinking and without place in our daily practice. It pleases me to say that every patient accepted under our care receives this unparalleled approach to his or her treatment. Sensitivity to the effect a chronic wound has on the patient, partner and family’s quality of life is as important as the physical healing.
We believe that conducting and participating in research, as a tool for advancing the quality of care in our own practice as well as our colleagues in the World community is a requisite to being a leader in the field.
We are here for our patients as well our colleagues offering advice and taking over care as needed.
Very truly yours,
Andrew Klapper MD
Diplomat, American Board of Plastic Surgery
